Rangpur arson attack accused held

Police today arrested two people including a prime accused in a case regarding the Rangpur arson attack on a bus that left six people killed.

Key accused Joynal Master, 50, Kafrikhal union Jamaat Amir, and his sibling Masum Amin, 44, also an activist of the party, were arrested at Pirojpur of Mithapukur upazila around 2:00pm, said Humayun Kabir, officer-in-charge of Mithapukur Police Station.

Six people were killed in the firebomb attack on a bus at Jaigirhat in Mithapukur upazila of Rangpur on January 14.
