Quader speaks of BNP’s registration cancellation
BNP's registration as a political party will be revoked if it does not take part in the upcoming general election, Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader said today.
"They are bound to participate in the election," Quader, also the road transport and bridges minister, came up with the remark while talking to reporters in Comilla this morning.
Like the other democratic countries, a free, fair and neutral election will be held in Bangladesh, Quader said, adding that the size of the polls-time cabinet will be smaller and the government will conduct only routine work.
"And the home ministry will work under the guideline of the Election Commission during the polls," the Awami League leader said.
Rejecting BNP’s allegation of oppression, Quader blasted them for false statements and said the party men are making immaterial statements in this connection.
