Ershad's condition remains unchanged: GM Quader
The health condition of ailing Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad was unchanged.
The former president is slightly better than tomorrow, the party’s acting chairman GM Quader told reporters this afternoon.
The doses of his sleeping pills have been decreased, so he is responding to calls by opening his eyelids, Quader said quoting doctors.
Ershad, now 89, was admitted to Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka on June 26 and kept on oxygen support since June 30.
The former military ruler has been suffering from various health-related issues over the last nine months.
The five-time MP flew to Singapore’s National University Hospital for medical treatment on January 20 and returned to the country on February 4. Since then he had been visiting CMH regularly for health check-ups.
He was last seen at a public gathering in May when he attended an iftar mahfil arranged by his brother GM Quader in Dhaka.
