BNP has come to sense: Obaidul Quader

Though late, BNP has come about its senses by participating in the forthcoming city corporation polls, Road Transport and Bridge Minister Obaidul Quader said today.

“Sense has dawned upon BNP and so it has come back to the right path of democracy shunning terrorism,” the minister said while talking to reporters in Munsiganj.

BNP has placed forth its candidates for the city corporation elections for Chittagong and the two halves of Dhaka metropolitan that are scheduled to take place on April 28.

No problems would have arisen in the country if they would have participated in the previous general election of January 5, he added.

The minister also spoke on the progress work of the Padma Bridge and said it was on schedule and placed hopes that the bridge will be completed within the designated timeframe.
