Khaleda receives dental treatment
BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia received dental treatment at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) this noon.
She was taken to the hospital’s dental unit around 1:00pm, BSMMU Director Brig Gen Dr AK Mahbubul Hoque said.
After half an hour, Khaleda was shifted back to her cabin amid tight security.
Khaleda Zia, admitted to the BSMMU since April 1, has been undergoing treatment supervised by a medical board of experts.
The BNP chief landed in jail in February after she was handed a five-year jail term in Zia Orphanage Trust corruption case.
Later, she was also convicted in Zia Charitable Trust graft case and handed a seven-year term.
In the appeal against her punishment in Zia Orphanage graft, a higher court increased her punishment to 10 years in prison.
