Quader unaware of BCL attacking quota reformists

Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader today said that he does not know whether the activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) carried out attacks on quota reformists.

"There is no committee of Chhatra League now. I will have to inquire in this regard,” Quader said at a press conference at the party chief Sheikh Hasina's Dhanmondi political office.

“I will see to it who carried out the attacks in the name of Chhatra League,” he said.

Regarding the recent arrests made, Quader said police only arrested those who attacked the residence of Dhaka University’s vice chancellor.

The Awami League leader also called upon quota reformists to stay patient and await an end to the quota feud.

"Keep faith on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. She upholds the word she gives," Quader said.
