5 held for 'manufacturing fake currency'

Detectives detained five alleged fake currency manufacturers along with counterfeit notes worth Tk 35 lakh in Ramna area of Dhaka last night.

A text message sent to the media by Dhaka Metropolitan Police confirmed it this morning.

Identities of the arrestees and details about the drive will be made public at a press briefing at DMP media centre later in the day, the text reads.
