33 bombs, explosives seized in Ctg

Police seized 33 handmade bombs and bomb making materials in the port city of Chittagong this evening.

A youth named Imran, 18, was detained in connection with the recovery in Bandar area.

The seized list include 17 firebombs, 16 crude bombs, two kilograms of gunpowder and four kilograms of splinters, said Ranajit Roy, inspector (investigation) of Bandar Police Station.

Law enforcers raided an abandoned garage in Fakirhat area around 8:45pm based on information and made the recovery, the police officer told our Chittagong correspondent.
