Three Jubo League men shot in Dhaka
Unidentified assailants shot and injured three Jubo League men in the capital's Wari area last night.
Mohammad Jewel, 35, is general secretary; Robin, 30, and Kajol Islam, 35, are activists of ward-41 unit of the youth wing of the ruling Awami League, said the victims.
With leg injuries, they were undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital, said Sub-Inspector Bachchu Mia of DMCH police camp.
Police suspect feud over money or internal affairs led to the gun attack.
The three along with others were chatting at a butcher's shop in Dakkhin Musundi area around 9:00pm, said Shah Alam who was at the shop.
At that time, around six gunmen wearing masks rushed in, fired 10 to 12 bullets and left the scene, he added.
“We have got clues about the shooters,” said Farid Uddin Ahmed, deputy commissioner (Wari Division) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police.
