Cyclone Hamoon: Power may be restored in Cox’s Bazar, Ctg by 3:00pm tomorrow

Electricity supply in Cox's Bazar and Chattogram will be restored by 3:00pm tomorrow, State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid said today.
Due to the Cyclone Hamoon, around 8.60 lakh power connections in the southern areas of the country have been cut, the state minister said in a press statement issued by the ministry.

Bangladesh Rural Electrification Board was instructed to restore the connections by 3:00pm tomorrow. Around 700-line crews were working in the field level," reads the statement.
Around 1.85 lakh connections have been restored so far," it added.
