The government has reset the bus fare, reducing it by Tk 0.05 per kilometre.

Road Transport and Highway Division Secretary ABM Anim Ullah Nuri announced the new rate following a meeting of the fare setting committee at BRTA headquarters today (August 31, 2022).

As per the new rate, bus fare per kilometre on intercity routes would be Tk 2.15 instead of Tk 2.2.

The bus fare in Dhaka and Chattogram would be Tk 2.45 per km instead of Tk 2.50, he said. The new rate would come into force from tomorrow.

Fuel prices cut by Tk 5 per litre

The decision came two days after the government cut fuel price by Tk 5 on Monday.
