Tarique to receive Khaleda in London tomorrow

BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia is set to fly to London tomorrow for medical treatment, where she will be received at the airport by her son, party's Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman.
Khaleda will leave Dhaka at 10:00pm on a special care flight arranged by the Emir of Qatar, said BNP Standing Committee Member Zahid Hossain said today at Gulshan chairperson office.
The flight will follow the Dhaka-Doha-London route.
Upon her arrival, Khaleda will be admitted to a hospital in London, where doctors will conduct necessary tests before determining the next course of action, Zahid added.
She will be accompanied by six members of her medical team, personal staff, caregivers, and the wife of her late son, Arafat Rahman Koko.
Additionally, four doctors from Qatar's Royal Ambulance team will provide medical assistance throughout the journey.
Khaleda Zia's personal physician Zahid also said that Tarique Rahman, his wife Zubaida Rahman, and two BNP leaders based in London will welcome Khaleda at the airport.
This will be her first reunion with her son Tarique in seven years, and her first overseas visit since she was freed from jail, said sources.
The special care flight from Qatar is expected to arrive at Dhaka's Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 7:00pm today, Zahid said.
