Tarique Rahman condemns killing of Sharif Osman Hadi

BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman has expressed deep sorrow over the killing of Inqilab Moncho spokesperson Sharif Osman Hadi, mentioning his untimely demise as "a grave reminder of the human cost of political violence."

In an official Facebook post on Thursday, Tarique said Hadi was a brave political activist and a fearless voice who consistently stood against injustice. 

He noted Hadi's role after the July uprising, where he defended the rights of the July fighters, upheld democratic values, and worked to protect national interests.

He extended his condolences to Hadi's family, loved ones, and fellow activists. He called on the interim government to prioritise a swift investigation so that the perpetrators are apprehended, punished, and justice is ensured.

"Together, we must safeguard every citizen and prevent any such incident aiming to destabilise Bangladesh and undermine our democratic aspirations," Tarique further said.
