Dhaka, Beijing sign agreement on economic, technical cooperation

Bangladesh and China signed an agreement on economic and technical cooperation today, along with eight MoUs on translation and production of classics, exchanges and cooperation on cultural heritage, news exchange, media, sports and health sectors, said the Chief Adviser's press wing.
In addition to this, five announcements were made related to investment, infrastructure, and technology related cooperation between the two nations.
One announcement was on the launching of formal negotiations on investment, and another was on the commencement of the China Industrial Economic Zone. The two countries also announced the signing of a commercial agreement for the modernisation and expansion of Mongla port, the building of a robot physiotherapy and rehabilitation centre, and the donation of a cardiac surgery vehicle.
