Elderly man killed after being hit by vehicle in Feni

An elderly man died after being hit by an unidentified vehicle in Feni last night.

The dead could not be identified immediately, said Reazul Islam, sub-inspector of Mohipal Highway Police Station in the district.

Quoting locals and witnesses, the police official said the man was hit by an unidentified vehicle on Dhaka-Chattogram highway around 9:30pm.

The witnesses could not make out what kind of vehicle hit the man, the official said, adding that he died on the spot.

Mohipal Highway Police later recovered the body from Lemua Bhangar area in Feni Sadar.

The body was sent to Feni General Hospital morgue for autopsy.
