Australia promotes study opportunities for Bangladeshi students at IDP Roadshow
Australia continues to attract Bangladeshi students seeking academic excellence, as senior Australian government officials and university representatives engaged with prospective students at the IDP Study World Australia Roadshow 2026, held on Friday at Sheraton Banani.
The event was hosted by IDP Education, with support from the Australian Trade and Investment Commission and the Australian High Commission, says a press release.
Representatives from top Australian universities and institutions participated in the roadshow, allowing students to interact directly with universities and receive official information on academic programmes, admissions procedures, scholarships and future career pathways.
The programme featured Ben Carson, Australian Trade and Investment Commissioner. A key session titled “Australian Advantage” was conducted by Mostafizur Rahman, Senior Director (Greater South Asia) of the Australian Trade and Investment Commission. Senior Australian officials were joined by Razib Mahbubul, Country Director of IDP Bangladesh.
Three Bangladeshi students supported by IDP shared their academic journeys after receiving merit-based scholarships from the University of Western Australia, the University of Sydney and Monash University. They spoke about their academic achievements, scholarship experiences and overall journey with IDP.
Australia’s higher education sector maintains a strong global standing, with nine Australian universities ranked among the world’s top 100 in the QS World University Rankings. Australian institutions are widely recognised for academic rigour, research excellence and graduate employability.
IDP, a global leader in international education and co-owner of IELTS, has been operating since 1969, providing end-to-end services to more than 100,000 students each year to support study-abroad aspirations at no cost.
