SM Sultan's birth anniversary observed

The 95th birth anniversary of the legendary art maestro SM Sultan was observed yesterday in Narail. The Bengali avant-garde artist was born on this day in 1923. Artists, art lovers, officials from Narail district administration along with representatives from Sultan Foundation, Zilla Shilpakala Academy, SM Sultan-Bengal Charukala College and other organisations placed wreaths at the grave of the world famous artist. SM Sultan was the recipient of the 'Man of the Year' from Cambridge University, the 'Man of Achievement' from New York Biographical Center, the 'Man of Asia' from Asiaweek, along with numerous other honours and accolades.
