Smoke billowing out of an illegal brick baking oven in Chechuri village of Khulna’s Dumuria. Bricks are baked in this way in several homes in the village. Around 100 maunds of firewood are required to bake 12,000 bricks. The use of firewood for making bricks is also illegal.
