Thai Airways plans to resume flights from Ctg
Thai Airways has expressed interest in resuming international flights from Chattogram.
Officials from the airline said that they are currently facing an aircraft shortage, but once the situation improves, they plan to restart operations from the port city.
The information was revealed at the "Thai Commercial Conference" held on Sunday at Radisson Blu Bay View, Chattogram.
The event was organised by Air Galaxy, the General Sales Agent (GSA) of Thai Airways.
Thikamporn Benyapikul, team lead of Thai Airways for Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Pakistan, highlighted the airline's future plans and various service aspects during the conference.
He said, "Although Thai Airways is currently facing an aircraft shortage, we expect to overcome it soon. Once we do, resuming flights from Chattogram will be one of our priorities."
Speakers at the event noted that Chattogram, the commercial capital of Bangladesh, is a city full of potential. With the rise in foreign investment and international trade, air travel demand is increasing, making the resumption of direct international flights a necessity.
Among the guests were Bangkok Sales Representative Prapakorn Kumpitak and Galaxy Group's Senior Manager (Corporate Affairs) Wamia Walid.
The event was conducted by Air Galaxy Senior Executive Mahmudul Hasan Nayeem. Other speakers included Senior Sales Manager Shafiul Alam, Air Galaxy Chattogram in-charge Md Asif Chowdhury, and Chattogram Sales Representative Md Ismail Hasan.
