Eid bonus here? Spend it on gadgets that won't break the bank!

You blinked, and here we are again; 2025, Ramadan, and soon, Eid-ul-Fitr. And you know what that means — good foods and vacations, sure, but also, Eid Bonus. It is a great thing because suddenly, you have that little extra spending money to buy whatever your heart craves, within a budget.

Of course, the prudent thing to do would be to take that money and put it in a savings account 'for a rainy day.' But if you ask us, taking the boring way out makes your every living day a sad rainy day. So, we say, spend a little, and if you want to spend on gadgets, this is the article for you.

We cover everything you could possibly want, starting with obvious picks such as smartphones, Bluetooth earbuds, and then, so much more. The pricing for many of the gadgets may vary from store to store, and some products here feature grey market pricing.

The products have been chosen in a way such that you could buy most of the gadgets in your budget tier together, assuming you pick smart.

Bonus Tier: Tk 20,000

Let's kick things off with the smallest budget/bonus here. If you are feeling blue about this amount, think of it this way; what if your company decided to halve your bonus, in the name of 'company optimisation' and "we are family?" Exactly! So, cheer up and let's kick things off.

ZTE Blade A35 (Tk 7,999): You won't get the best kills in PUBD or whatever because the performance is a bit lacking, but for daily use. It is more than competent enough. A big and responsive 90hz screen, a big battery, and a serviceable single-lens shooter round out this "cheap as chips" offering. Plus, you get expandable storage, a 3.5mm headphone jack and FM Radio. Even the latest iPhone *something* Pro Max, which costs nearly as much as a motorcycle, does not have these three features!

P15 Pro Drone (Tk 6,000): Think of this as your gateway entry to drone ownership and a great platform to learn how to fly one of these before you get a DJI drone that you actually want! It has a decent FullHD camera and brushless motors just like the fancier and more expensive offerings.

Baseus A3 Handheld Vacuum Cleaner (Tk 6,500): Portable, sleek, battery-powered, 15,000pa of suction and 45 minutes between sucking dust and electricity, this will give your OCD the hassle-free, cords-free, boundary-free reign you always dreamed of.

Cmf Buds 2 Pro (Tk 5,799): Know anyone who worships AirPods and thinks it's better than air? Whip one of these out and show them a thing or two. The looks are unmistakable. And it's not just a pretty face either; it has features like 360 audio tracking and HiRes LDAC codec support that only comes on way more expensive audiophile models. For once, cheap doesn't mean consolation.

Awei Y669 (Tk 3,200): A fancy brand is not always the answer to a great product, and these are proof of that. Boasting 33W of sound output and water resistance and even the ability to pair to another one of these speakers to become stereo speakers, these have feature parity with the way more expensive JBL Charge series!

P30Max Projector (Tk 10,250): If you travel often, this could be a great travel companion. It runs Android, has 720p resolution, with a 100-inch projection size, and doubles as an arcade game console with a huge collection. So, if you are with someone, you could play good old Mustapha (Cadillacs and Dinosaurs) or catch up on series/movies.

Flydigi Vader 4 Pro (Tk 8,600): Why would you buy this over an Xbox or other controllers? Adjustable joystick tension, excellent vibration, hall-effect joysticks and triggers, mechanical switches, and pro-controller buttons like the far more expensive elite controllers. Simply put, it's the best controller in the world right now.

JOYROOM JR-PBM08 Pro 20W 10,000mAh Magnetic Wireless power bank (Tk 2,499): A power bank with wireless charging (Magsafe if you are team iPhone) is rare enough, and these support fast 20W of charging. And it has USB-C for phones without wireless charging.

Samsung Galaxy A15 (Tk 19,499): Affordable smartphones have greatly improved and this Samsung is a great example of that. Decent camera array, competent enough performance and even expandable storage, and a 3.5mm headphone jack, which their top-end models lack these days, it's a great first phone. And the long software support is just icing on the cake.

CMF Watch Pro 2 (Tk 6,699):  Another CMF product makes the list, and for good reason. Nothing about the way it looks, feels, and works, says it was made to a budget. Get this, and wear it proudly amongst your Ultra-Pro-Max-toting peers, and even they will ask where they can get it.

Bonus Tier: Tk 40,000

If this is your bonus, congratulations. Things can only go up, and even if you were to face 'optimisation,' you could still use the above list, so think of it as a win either way.

DJI Osmo Mobile 7 (Tk 10,500): Suddenly had an epiphany that you should be a travel content creator rather than shuffling Word/Excel files all day? This is a great way to make your smartphone take shots that would fool any of your subscribers into thinking you have the best video gear.

RG101 Pro 4K Drone (Tk 21,000): Still dreaming of a fancy DJI drone? Here's your chance to own one, sans the DJI name. This has all the bells and whistles of Tk 1 lakh-plus DJI models such as 2-axis gimbal stabilisation, FPV capable, long-range, GPS auto-return function, collision-avoiding system, 20 minutes of fly time, and a very decent camera.

Awei KA15 (Tk 10,500): If you are the designated DJ at your travels/hangouts, whip out on these and watch your friends dance! At 70W, these get LOUD. You would think that at this budget, buying those JBL portable speakers makes sense, but even with this budget, the only thing that will get played is you.

Nebula Apollo Projector (Tk 35,000): If you miss your home theatre while travelling, this is possibly the next best thing. Built-in touch controls, excellent on-board speakers, bright and crisp 100-inch projection, and running on Android, meaning you can use all your streaming services, or plug in your drives. Top tip; get a cheap camera tripod. It will make setting this up much easier.

Baseus 30,000mAh 65Watt power bank (Tk 5,700): Large enough capacity to charge your phone multiple times, and 65W charging speed means you won't be tethered for long. In short, you never need to carry a charger again.

Samsung Galaxy Buds3 Pro (Tk 19,000): Their latest model ditches their own house design for a more competition-inspired look and operation, but they are still one of the most feature-rich and great-sounding buds money can buy.

Samsung Galaxy Watch7 (Tk 25,000): Our first full-fledged Android-powered smartwatch on the list. Samsung watches of the past were a bit dorky, but these days, they are quite sleek and you can make it your own with custom belts as this supports standard 22mm quick-release belts.

Redmi Turbo 3 (Tk 28,499): It's no secret that flagship-grade smartphones are seriously expensive these days. Thankfully though, these pack enough performance and features, especially the display, to give you the feel of flagship, without costing too much.

Redmi Pad Pro (Tk 32,999): Jealous of your boss's iPad? Don't be. Get this, and make him feel like a fool for overspending. The gorgeous high-resolution 12.1-inch display, quad Dolby Atmos-certified speakers, expandable storage and 3.5mm headphone jacks already make the iPad look bad enough.

Rub further salt in the wound by pairing a keyboard and mouse, and running emulated Windows, and now you have a decent laptop competitor too.

Bonus Tier: Tk 60,000

With your bonus, you are probably already sitting on your posh lake-side veranda, looking at the not-so-posh lake, and thinking of how to make your bonus bigger. While you wait for that new promotion, here are things you can buy to keep that buzzing mind drowned in dopamine.

Canon EOS R100 (Tk 57,000): If you are a budding photographer, or you want to dip your toes into videography, this is a great place to start. This has just enough features to not feel left out and a quality that never fails to amaze. Plus, interchangeable lens means your work can constantly evolve.

DJI Mini 4K Fly More Combo Drone (Tk 58,000): Finally, a real DJI, with no workarounds. That can be your first flex to plebs who cannot afford it. Comes with industry-leading features such as a top-tier camera, a 10-kilometre video transmission range, 31 minutes of flight time, and the ability to withstand 38kpmh winds.

Sony WF-1000XM5 (Tk 35,700): This is the undisputed king of Bluetooth earbuds. This has the sound quality, noise cancelling feature, and fit that AirPods-loving plebs could only dream of. If the price is a bit much for you, know that these are nearly Tk 10,000 cheaper on grey markets, although you do have to skip the warranty.

UGREEN 300W 48,000mAh power bank (Tk 12,300): Everything about you is excess, and your power bank should reflect that. Meet the king of power banks. It's bulky, sure, but while your buddy's power bank charges one phone and dies, yours can charge your phone, and 3 of your buddies, as well as your laptop! Plus, you get an emergency LED light built-in for power outages. Great value!

Apple Watch Series 10 42mm (Tk 46,500): Have you recently discovered yourself in the fabled 'ecosystem?' If so, this is the only smartwatch for you. If you are in the Android space though, you can swap this option for the Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra for a similar price.

Nothing Phone 2 (TK 47,490) / Pixel 8A (Tk 49,499) / iPhone 12 128GB (Tk 59,999) / OnePlus 13R 12/256 (Tk 60,499): Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but even this bonus isn't enough for flagship smartphones. But, if you want a near-to-no-compromise smartphone experience, these four options should do the trick. We are technically cheating a bit with the OnePlus option, but it's just too good to skip out on.

iPad 9th Gen WiFi 256GB (Tk 49,999) / iPad 10th Gen WiFi 64GB (Tk 41,999) / OnePlus Pad 2 12/256GB (Tk 59,999): Unless you are deep in the 'ecosystem,' we heavily recommend the OnePlus option as this is quite possibly the closest you can get to a flagship tab experience in the market. If you are team Apple though, we suggest going the 9th gen as you do get more storage.

Honourable mentions

Nextool Thunder Safety Baton and Electric Shocker (Tk 4,799): With the country now in a state of chaos and crime, this one is for your safety, especially the ladies. You can never put a price on personal security, but thankfully, this one is affordable enough.

Xiaomi Solove F5 Pro Max (Tk 2,700): It's not summer yet, and it's already 35° C plus, and with intermittent power cuts returning, this might just be the best gadget on the list.

UGREEN 20,000mAh 100W power bank (Tk 6,400): The charging speed on offer here can shame nearly every adapter in a 10km radius. Enough said!

Moondrop Space Travel (Tk 2,599): If you are on a budget, and all you care about is sound quality, except everything else, this is it.

Xiaomi Sound Pocket (Tk 2,150): "I don't need fancy loudspeakers. I just want something compact that I can take to the shower." Done. Water-resistant to boot.

Where to get them

For the smartphones, you could always try their official outlets, otherwise, you could always visit the basement section of the smartphone section of Bashundhara City, where most phones will be cheaper, but keep in mind that they are grey market imports without warranty. As for the other gadgets, you can find most of them in level 2 and 3 shops of Motalib Plaza in Paribagh, or from e-commerce sites like Daraz.
