Justice Shawkat Hossain appointed chair of Administrative Appellate Tribunal

The government has appointed Justice Md Shawkat Hossain, a retired judge of the High Court, as chairman of the Administrative Appellate Tribunal for two years on a contractual basis.

The public administration ministry issued a gazette notification today to this effect.

Justice Shawkat Hossain had presided over the three-member special HC bench that heard and disposed the sensational BDR killing case.

He retired earlier on January 9 this year.
