Sunrisers welcome Fizz back

Bangladesh fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman has joined the Indian Premier League (IPL) defending champions Sunrisers Hyderabad to take part in this year's edition. The IPL franchise posted a photo of Mustafizur, presumably at the team hotel's lobby, on their official Facebook page.

Mustafizur was named the Emerging PLayer of the competition in the last season and was an integral part of Hyderabad's surge to the title. He finished as the tournament's fifth-highest wicket-taker with 17 wickets in 16 matches at an economy rate of 6.9.

Hyderabad have a match today against Mumbai Indians at 8:30pm (Bangladesh time), but it remains to be seen when Mustafizur will get his first game as Hyderabad have won both their matches so far handily and seems to have hit upon a good combination early on in their defence of their title.

After his IPL stint last season Mustafizur went to play Sussex in the United Kingdom and suffered a shoulder injury for which he underwent surgery last August. His recovery was a long one; he was out of sorts during the New Zealand tour at the turn of the year and then sat out the inaugural Test against India in Hyderabad this February. He was however more like his old self in the Sri Lanka Tests last month, before suffering a dip in the ODIs but finishing strongly in the second T20I on April 6, during which he took four wickets.
