5 die of dengue, 1,139 hospitalised in a day

Five dengue patients died, while 1,139 others were hospitalised, in 24 hours till 8:00am today.

Of the deaths, three were reported from Khulna, and one each from Dhaka and Barishal divisions, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

With the new deaths and cases, the total number of deaths from dengue this year rose to 323 while the total cases rose to 81,773 this year.

Currently, 3,461 dengue patients are undergoing treatment at different hospitals across the country.
