At least three dengue patients died while 857 others were hospitalised in the last 24 hours till 8:00am today.
According to the Directorate General of Health Services, two of the deaths were reported in areas under Dhaka South City Corporation, and one in Dhaka North City Corporation.
For all latest news, follow The Daily Star's Google News channel. With the new deaths and cases, the total number of dengue-related deaths has risen to 233, while the total number of cases has reached 55,416 this year.
Of the total cases, 52,561 patients have been released so far.
Currently, 2,622 dengue patients are receiving treatment in different hospitals across the country, including 1,659 patients from outside Dhaka.
