No Covid-19 death in 24hrs, positivity rate 1.07%

No Covid-19 death was reported in 24 hours till 8am today, said a press release issued by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The daily positivity rate is 1.07 percent while the total positivity rate stands at 13.43 percent. At least 88 Covid-19 patients have recovered in this time.

The total number of Covid-19 deaths in the country remains at 29,440 and the mortality rate is 1.45 percent.

A total of 1,585 samples were tested across the country during this period, of which at least 17 new coronavirus cases were diagnosed.

With the new infections, the total number of cases rose to 20,37,142, the release added.

The total number of recoveries now stands at 19,87,821 and the recovery rate at 97.58 percent, said the release.
