SKorea supports Bangladesh’s 1st int’l nursing conference
The South Korean international company called Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) showed grand support to Bangladesh's first international nursing conference by providing them with a budget of US$13.75 million.
The conference held under the theme "Higher Nursing Education: Trends and Challenges" was held in the newly launched 'National Institute of Advanced Nursing Education and Research (NIANER)' nursing school in Mugda area of Dhaka on May 14, according to a press release.
It was attended by participants from Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, NIANER and Directorate General of Nursing.
The nursing conference was centered around discussions about various trends of nursing education, nursing faculties and researches in Bangladesh etc.
Along with KOICA, other international organizations namely Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), Global Affairs Canada (GAC), World Health Organization (WHO) and United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) dignified the event to establish country-specific fitting strategies of nursing education.
The Republic of Korea through KOICA hopes to further enhance its support to attain Bangladesh's aspiration of developed status by 2041.
