From heartthrob romantic characters to socially charged roles, Siam Ahmed has steadily established himself as one of Dhallywood's most versatile and dependable stars. With acclaimed performances in films like "Poramon 2", "Dohon", "Mridha Vs Mridha", and "Fagun Haway", he has become a familiar name to cinephiles. As Eid draws near, the actor returns to the silver screen with "Jongli"—a film he describes as one of his most personal projects yet.

Speaking to The Daily Star, Siam shared, "A new film is releasing, and I'm going through a very hectic schedule. We're working on promotions. I went to bed during sehri last night. There was a late-night shoot at a TV channel, followed by several promotional video shoots. It's been a whirlwind—'Jongli' has kept me on my toes."

This Eid, alongside "Jongli", other major releases include Afran Nisho's "Daagi", Shakib Khan's "Borbaad", Mosharraf Karim's "Chokkor", and Shajal's "Jinn 3". When asked if he considers the other films as competition, Siam responded, "I don't see any of the films as competition. We're all in this together—as fellow artistes and collaborators."

"I'll be watching all the Eid releases," he added. "I'll go to the theatres with my entire team to watch the other films."

When asked again whether he sees the other leading men as rivals, the actor simply remarked, "No. We're part of the same family. We are artistes—I don't view anyone as competition."

When asked about his fans, Dhallywood star Siam Ahmed expressed heartfelt gratitude, saying, "I'm grateful to my audience and fans. It is their love that has made me who I am today. All my love to them. I hope 'Jongli' will be embraced with that same affection."

Regarding the hard work put into the film, the actor remarked, "I love acting. I don't see it as a struggle—it's work, it's passion. That's what defines me. I admit "Jongli" took a lot of effort, but I did it all for the film."

Looking ahead to the film's reception, the "Shaan" star remarked, "Audiences have shown immense love for my previous films. I hope 'Jongli' can rise above them all. If it does, I'll know the hard work paid off."

Talking about his experience working on "Jongli", Siam revealed, "I was involved with the film right from the scripting phase. Usually, we come on board after the script is finalised—but in this case, I was part of it from the beginning."

He further added, "I've devoted a lot of time to 'Jongli'. It was made with great care. My co-artistes gave their best, both in effort and emotion. Everyone respected one another while working on this project. For many reasons, 'Jongli' means a great deal to me."

Speaking about the story, the actor shared, "'Jongli' has a powerful storyline. Audiences will understand it once they step into the theatre. It's our own story—the story of our country, of the things that happen around us."

Regarding promotional activities, Siam noted, "We've taken up many plans for promotion. Audiences have already started watching. There are a few more unique campaigns in store. We want to invite the audience through entertainment. You'll see everything, one by one."

"'Jongli' is by far my favourite work," he stated. "Once again, I'll say 'Jongli' is special to me. I want the audience to connect with 'Jongli'."
