Bollywood actress Sushmita Sen shocked everyone when she announced on Instagram last week that she had suffered a massive heart attack. She had to undergo angioplasty and stent placement to ensure proper recovery.

Yesterday, the actress posted an Instagram live where she thanked her doctors for helping her survive such a horrific health scare.

She also advised the young people to take very good care of their health and do routine check ups.

"A lot of young people do not survive heart attacks, so it is very important to keep checking yourself."

The actress also urged her fans to not stop from going to the gym.

"I know a lot of you will stop going to the gym and say it didn't help her but that's totally not the case," said the actress.

Sushmita Sen reflected on the importance of a balanced lifestyle and how it helped her survive such a traumatising experience.

"I had a massive heart attack as there was a 95% blockage in my main artery. However, I was able to survive because I maintained an active lifestyle," added the actress.

The "Aarya" actress feels fortunate that she was able to stay alive and feel grateful for her life.

"For what it's worth, I believe it was a phase that passed. I consider myself extremely fortunate to be on the other side. It doesn't make me nervous; instead, it gives me a sense of anticipation for something," concluded the actress.
