After receiving a lot of criticism, Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan tweeted a clarification about his viral video with Gigi Hadid. He stated that it was pre-planned to bring Gigi on stage. Meanwhile, Gigi Hadid posted a story on her Instagram thanking Varun for making her Bollywood dreams come true.

Meanwhile, Gigi reposted the video on her Instagram story and wrote, "Varun is making my Bollywood dreams come true."

Varun Dhawan welcomed her on stage in a Bollywood style, picking her up in his arms and planting a kiss on her cheek. Once the video went viral, netizens criticized Varun because they thought that Gigi appeared to be visibly "uncomfortable." Gigi Hadid's response was however, was adorable.

Along with Gigi, other celebrities from Hollywood attended the event, including Tom Holland, Zendaya, and Penelope Cruz. The event was also attended by Priyanka Chopra, Nick Jonas, Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Suhana Khan, and Rashmika Mandanna, among others.
