‘The Flash’ director suits up for a new ‘Batman’ film
After stunning the fans with "The Flash" which hit the theatres today, director Andy Muschietti is now gearing up for a new 'Batman' movie titled "Batman: The Brave and the Bold". The project is based on the Batman comic series authored by Grant Morrison.
"Batman: The Brave and the Bold" is among the five new DC projects that fall under the leadership of James Gunn and Peter Safran.
Speaking about the new addition to the "Batman" franchise, the two CEOs of DC Studios told the media, "We saw 'The Flash' even before taking the reins at DC Studios, and knew we were in the hands of not only a visionary director but a massive DC fan."
They continued, "It's a magnificent film – funny, emotional, thrilling – and Andy's affinity and passion for these characters and this world just resonates through every frame. So, when it came time to find a director for 'The Brave and the Bold,' there was really only one choice. Luckily, Andy said yes. Barbara (Barbara Muschietti) signed on to produce with us and we were on our way. They're an extraordinary team, and we couldn't have better or more inspiring partners as we embark on this thrilling new adventure in the DCU."
The latest "Batman" film which will feature Bruce Wayne's son Damian as 'Robin' will be produced by Andy Muschietti's sister Barbara Muschietti under the sibling's Double Dream label alongside James Gunn and Peter Safran.
