Sumit’s ‘Nonajoler Kabbo’ screening in 64 districts today
Today is the last day of the third iteration of the Bangladesh Film Festival which is currently underway at all branches of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy across 64 districts.
Today, the National Film Award-winning movie, "Nonajoler Kabbo" directed by Rezwan Shahriar Sumit, will be simultaneously screened at all 64 branches of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy across the country. The screenings will take place around 4 pm. With the screening of this film, the festival will come to an end.
"Nonajoler Kabbo" is a clash-of-cultures tale set in a remote coastal village of Bangladesh, which shines a unique light on love and resilience. The film depicts the daily lives of fishermen in the country's coastal areas, as well as their fight to survive in the face of adverse weather. The film focuses on the social lives and dilemmas of the fisherman as a result of climate change.
The film has garnered positive remarks from international and local film festivals.
"Nonajoler Kabbo" casts Fazlur Rahman Babu, Tasnova Tamanna and Titas Zia among others.
