Sanjoy Somadder’s ‘Manush’ gets uncut censor certificate
Sanjoy Somadder's debut film "Manush" recently received an uncut censor board certificate from the Bangladesh Film Censor Board. The film stars Kolkata's renowned actor Jeet and Bangladeshi actress Bidya Sinha Mim in central roles.
Taking to his social media accounts, the director of "Manush" announced the news to everyone.
Expressing his joy on his film receiving an uncut certificate, Sanjoy shared, "Today is a very happy day as a director. My directorial debut full-length film 'Manush' starring Superstar Jeet has received an uncut censor (U/A) certificate."
He further mentioned in the post "After making TVCs, OVCs, short-films, dramas, telefilms, musical films, web-films, web-series, television feature films, and so on, I have finally made my feature film 'Manush'. I have worked in almost all sections of visual fiction. Throughout my journey, I have always had the audience's love and support with me. And, I pray that they'll continue to love me."
Sanjoy Somadder ended the post with a tagline for his upcoming film which stated, "Manush: An intense emotional journey where action and thrill run simultaneously."
Written by the director himself, the story of the film depicts the cruelty of human nature and the consequences of people losing their humanity.
Apart from Jeet and Bidya Sinha Mim, fans will also get to see Jeetu Kamal, and Susmita Chatterjee, amongst others playing pivotal roles in the film.
"Manush" is already scheduled to be released in Indian theatres this November 24 and is expected to get a Bangladeshi release date soon.
