Producer Rahmat Ullah files case against Shakib Khan 

Just when it seemed that the controversy around Shakib Khan has ended, now the producer Rahmat Ullah has filed a case against Shakib Khan for defamation.

 

Just when it seemed that the controversy around Shakib Khan has ended, now the producer Rahmat Ullah has filed a case against Shakib Khan for defamation. The tribunal directed the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI), a special branch of the police, to investigate the case and submit a report. 

On Tuesday, a clerk of the court, Nazmul Hossain, confirmed the news to the media. According to him, Rahmat Ullah filed this case in Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Rashidul Alam's court on April 13. 

Earlier, Rahmat Ullah's lawyer sent a legal notice to Shakib Khan for making objectionable comments about him to the media. 

On March 15, Rahmat Ullah wrote to the president of the Bangladesh Film Artistes' Association and alleged that actor Shakib Khan raped a co-producer and behaved unethically and unprofessionally during a shoot in Australia.

After this incident, Shakib lodged a written complaint in this regard at the DB office at Minto Road on March 19. 

Shakib also filed a case with a Dhaka court against film producer Rahmat Ullah on a charge of demanding 1,00,000 Australian dollar as extortion on March 23. 

Later, Shakib Khan filed another case against Rahmat Ullah in the Dhaka Tribunal under the Digital Security Act. The court directed the Police Bureau of Investigation to submit an investigation report in this regard.
