‘Pathaan’ finally granted Censor Board clearance, releasing next week
Global superhit film "Pathaan '' has finally gained clearance from the Bangladesh Film Censor Board. Following suit, the film will be released in Bangladesh on May 12. The news was confirmed to The Daily Star by Action-Cut Entertainment's Anonno Mamun.
The permission to import films had only been given in the recent past. So far, after the verification of bank LC and other documents by Censor Board, a letter was sent on April 27 to have "Pathaan" imported from customs to the Film Censorship Board, asking to be given a NOC (Non Objection Certificate).
"Pathaan" is being imported to Bangladesh by Action-Cut Entertainment. Speaking on behalf of the establishment, Anonno Mamun informed The Daily Star "The film is to be released on May 12. A lot of people have already pre-ordered tickets to see the movie."
The YRF film has generated over USD 130 million in box offices worldwide, becoming the highest grossing Indian film of 2023. After months of debate and verbal approvals, the film is finally on its way to being screened in Bangladesh.
