‘Only Murders in the Building’ renewed for Season 6 with a London twist
Hit mystery-comedy series "Only Murders in the Building" is officially returning for a sixth season, Hulu announced — and this time, the beloved trio of amateur sleuths is heading overseas. Season 6 will be set and filmed in London, marking the first time the show ventures outside its iconic New York setting. The renewal news arrived on the same day as the release of the Season 5 finale.
The acclaimed series follows Charles-Haden Savage (Steve Martin), Oliver Putnam (Martin Short), and Mabel Mora (Selena Gomez), three unlikely friends and true-crime podcasters who investigate mysterious murders linked to their Upper West Side apartment building, the Arconia.
Season 5 saw the group drawn into yet another dangerous mystery following the suspicious death of their beloved doorman, Lester (Teddy Coluca). Their investigation led them through New York's underworld — entangling them with powerful billionaires, old-school mobsters, and secretive Arconia residents — revealing a deeper conflict between the city's fading past and its evolving, perilous present.
Alongside Martin, Short, Gomez, and Coluca, "Only Murders in the Building's" fifth season featured an all-star supporting cast, including Meryl Streep, Da'Vine Joy Randolph, Richard Kind, Nathan Lane, Bobby Cannavale, Renée Zellweger, Christoph Waltz, Logan Lerman, Téa Leoni, Keegan-Michael Key, Beanie Feldstein, Dianne Wiest, Jermaine Fowler, and Michael Cyril Creighton.
The series was co-created by Steve Martin and John Hoffman, who also serve as executive producers alongside Martin Short, Selena Gomez, Dan Fogelman, Jess Rosenthal, Ben Smith, and JJ Philbin.
With its shift to London, Season 6 promises to bring a fresh setting — and a whole new set of suspects — to the show's signature mix of humour, suspense, and heartfelt storytelling.
