Michelle Yeoh marries ex-Ferrari CEO Jean Todt
The Oscar-winning actress, Michelle Yeoh, has tied the knot with her partner, Jean Todt, in a romantic ceremony in Switzerland. The French businessman had proposed to Yeoh 19 years ago, and now the couple has made it official.
Taking to Instagram, Yeoh shared the joyous news, posting pictures of their wedding, including the touching moment of exchanging rings and an intimate shot of them snuggled together on a bed adorned with flower petals. Racing driver Felipe Massa, who attended the celebration, also shared a printed wedding message that revealed the long and enduring love story that led to their marriage.
The 60-year-old Malaysian actress recently achieved new heights of fame for her outstanding performance in "Everything Everywhere All at Once." The film won seven Oscars out of 11 nominations, including the prestigious Best Picture award, at the Academy Awards earlier this year.
Yeoh, an icon of martial arts cinema, has an impressive repertoire of movies, including "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings," "Crazy Rich Asians," and "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon." Her international breakthrough came in 1997, starring alongside Pierce Brosnan in the James Bond film "Tomorrow Never Dies."
At her wedding, Yeoh humorously paid tribute to her Bond connection by sharing a fake film poster titled "Love Never Dies," replacing Brosnan's face with her now-husband Todt's during an epic motorcycle scene.
Todt, a former president of Formula 1's governing body and currently the UN Secretary General's special envoy for road safety, thanked long-time Bond producer Barbara Broccoli for the thoughtful wedding gift.
