Mehazabien Chowdhury's debut film "Saba" continues to shine on the international stage, recently securing third place in the Asian Cinema Competition at the prestigious Bengaluru International Film Festival. This achievement not only adds another feather to the actress's cap but also marks a pivotal moment for Bangladeshi cinema, as the film gains recognition among top Asian productions.

Directed by Maksud Hossain, "Saba" has been creating ripples on the international stage long before its domestic release. The film has made its rounds at major film festivals, including the Toronto International Film Festival, Busan Film Festival, and Saudi Arabia's Red Sea Festival, where it was lauded for its storytelling and performances.

Mehazabien, who shared the news on social media, expressed her excitement, stating, "What a beautiful morning! Our feature film 'Saba' has won third place in the Asian Cinema Competition at the Bengaluru Film Festival. Congratulations to the entire team!" 

 

The official page of the Bengaluru Film Festival first announced the results, further boosting the film's growing momentum.

After dominating the television industry for 14 years, Mehazabien's leap to the big screen has proven to be a triumphant one. "Saba" has already captured the attention of global critics, and this latest recognition in Bengaluru only reinforces her status as one of Bangladesh's most talented actors. 

The film also stars notable actors Rokeya Prachy and Mostafa Monwar, while its screenplay was crafted by Trilora Khan and Maksud Hossain.
