‘Rakkhosh’ releasing on two OTT platforms
Films released during Eid-ul-Fitr are now set to arrive on OTT platforms this Eid-ul-Adha, allowing audiences to watch them from home. It was announced a few days ago that “Domm” will premiere on OTT platform Chorki on May 21, while “Bonolota Express” will be released on Hoichoi on May 24. Now, it was announced that Siam Ahmed starrer “Rakkhosh” will also stream online, that too on two different platforms. The film will be available on two OTT platforms — Utshob and iScreen — during Eid-ul-Adha.
Directed by Mehedi Hasan Hridoy, “Rakkhosh” revolves around Siam Ahmed, who appears in a dual role in the film. He plays both the protagonist and the antagonist. Opposite him stars Tollywood actress Susmita Chatterjee. The cast also includes Ali Raj, Naznin Hasan Chumki, and Shohel Mondol, among others.
Alongside “Rakkhosh”, another Eid-ul-Fitr release, “Prince: Once Upon a Time in Dhaka”, will also premiere on OTT platform Utshob. The platform is set to launch on May 21 with these two films, confirmed by its chief executive, Zahid Hasan Abhi.
“Prince”, starring Shakib Khan, has been directed by Abu Hayat Mahmud. The film also features Tasnia Farin and Jyotirmoyee Kundu, among others. According to the production company, the film’s digital version has been newly remastered ahead of its OTT release. Complaints from viewers about the sound, colour grading, and VFX have reportedly been addressed to present the film in a more polished form.
