Jaaz Multimedia announced yesterday that Mahi will star in a new action film called "Ontorjami", directed by Saikat Nasir. After a long break from acting, Mahi will return to the big screen in this highly anticipated project. Her last film appearance was in Badiul Alam Khokon's "Officer in Charge".

Mahi started her acting career in 2012 with Jaaz's film "Bhalobashar Rong", which made her an instant star. She acted in many hit films under Jaaz, including the popular "Agnee" series.

Jaaz Multimedia describes "Ontorjami" as a "lady action movie" that will not feature a male lead. It will be an action film like her previous hits "Agnee" and "Agnee 2." The story will focus on Mahi's character and a nine-year-old child, Mabshu. The film will be shot across multiple international locations, including Bangladesh, Thailand, and the United States. Action director Baba Yadav from Kolkata will design the action sequences.

While it's similar to "Agnee 2," it's not a direct sequel. "Agnee was about revenge, but Ontorjami is about survival," the production house said. "It will be even more thrilling and action-packed than the previous films."

The film will start shooting in January 2026 in the United States. After that, the team will shoot in Thailand and then in Bangladesh. Action director Baba Yadav from Kolkata will design the action sequences.

Returning to Jaaz Multimedia, the production house that launched Mahia Mahi's career over a decade ago, marks a significant moment in her professional journey. Fans and industry insiders are eagerly waiting to see if this comeback will be successful when the film hits theaters next year.
