Keira Knightley, James McAvoy join cast of new ‘Harry Potter’ audiobook series

Actors Keira Knightley and James McAvoy will lend their voices to Professor Umbridge and Mad-Eye Moody in Audible's upcoming "Harry Potter" audiobook series, according to US media reports.
The star-studded roster also features Kit Harington as Professor Lockhart, Iwan Rheon as Professor Lupin, Ruth Wilson as Bellatrix Lestrange, Ambika Mod as Nymphadora Tonks, Leo Woodall as Bill Weasley, Simon Pegg as Arthur Weasley, Gemma Whelan as Professor Sprout, and Matt Berry as Sir Cadogan.
Speaking to Variety, McAvoy described his character as "a layered character, constantly shifting between battle-hardened intensity and unexpected moments of wisdom. Capturing his commanding presence was incredibly fun."
Earlier, the producers confirmed "Succession" star Matthew Macfadyen as the voice of Lord Voldemort. "House" actor Hugh Laurie will portray Professor Dumbledore, while Riz Ahmed of "Sound of Metal" will voice Professor Snape and Michelle Gomez of "Doctor Who" will play Professor McGonagall. Cush Jumbo of "The Good Fight" will narrate the seven-part series.
Young actors Frankie Treadaway, Max Lester, and Arabella Stanton will voice Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger in the first three audiobooks. Stanton will also reprise Hermione in HBO's upcoming "Harry Potter" reboot series. Jaxon Knopf, Rhys Mulligan, and Nina Barker-Francis will take over the roles of the Golden Trio in the remaining parts.
The first instalment, adapting "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone," will debut on Audible on November 4, with each of the six remaining audiobooks releasing monthly worldwide. The original single-voice "Harry Potter" audiobooks narrated by Stephen Fry, which have amassed 1.8 billion global listening hours since their 2015 release, will remain available on the platform.
