The number of shows for the movie "Jongli", starring Siam Ahmed and Shobnom Bubly, has been increased in multiplexes. Zahid Hasan Abhi, the head of the film's production company, Tiger Media, confirmed this update.

He mentioned to the local media that although Eid films typically generate the highest buzz, "Jongli" initially had fewer shows in multiplexes, and he was unsure about the reason.

Despite a large billboard being placed at the Shimanto Shambar branch of Cineplex, no shows were initially scheduled there. However, today, two shows have been added at that branch—one at 11 AM and another at 4 PM. Additionally, an extra show has been added at Jamuna Blockbuster. The increase in shows and theaters just one day after its release is a positive development for the "Jongli" team.

Mesbah Uddin Ahmed, Senior Manager of Media and Marketing at Star Cineplex, also confirmed the added shows. He explained that the number of shows depends entirely on audience demand, and this decision was made with the utmost consideration for their preferences.

Earlier, the producers and crew of "Jongli" expressed their dissatisfaction with the limited shows at Star Cineplex.

They alleged that out of the six films set for release on Eid, Star Cineplex had shown negligence in distributing shows for "Jongli". Despite expectations for it to have an equal number of shows as "Daagi" and "Borbaad", it received fewer shows than "Chokkor 302", a film with relatively less buzz. This raised concerns about potential financial losses.

Nonetheless, the increase in shows has brought relief to everyone on the "Jongli" team.

Directed by M Raahim, Apart from Siam and Bubly, the movie also stars Prarthana Fardin Dighi,Dilara Zaman, Shahiduzzaman Selim and Rashed Mamun Apu, in pivotal roles.
