Amidst the excitement surrounding "Jawan", a local film, "Sujon Majhi", directed by Delwar Jahan Jhantu, is also making its theatrical debut today. This Bangladeshi film will grace screens around 19 theaters, nationwide.

Scheduled to premiere alongside "Sujon Majhi" were Mushfiqur Rahman Gulzar's "Dushshahoshi Khoka" and Dipankar Dipon's "Antarjal". However, the two latter productions opted to delay their releases to avoid clashing with the fervor surrounding "Jawan".

Delwar Jahan Jhantu, the director of "Sujon Majhi", shared his expectations for the film, saying, "It is a story of a village. Our country is full of villages, and I believe that people enjoy films rooted in rural settings. This has been evident in the past. I hope that everyone in Bangladesh will appreciate the film. I created it with the audience's preferences in mind, not for awards."

The film's leading lady, Nipun, added, "This story encapsulates the essence of life in the village, focusing on boats and the countryside. It offers a glimpse into the lives of our people. The new generation will gain valuable insights into our nation by watching this film."
