I have done everything that a mother can do for her son: Pori Moni

Tomorrow marks the first birthday of Shahim Mohammad Rajya, son of Showbiz couple Pori Moni and Sariful Islam Razz. Surrounding the event Pori Moni arranged a 7-day long celebration at their residence. "All of my maternal relatives have already arrived to celebrate Rajya's first birthday," shared the actor with The Daily Star.

What gift will Pori be giving to her son on his first birthday? "I have arranged a lot of surprises for him, wrote a long letter too, which I will read out loud in front of everyone tomorrow."

Pori wants Rajya to know that his mother did everything possible to give him a comfortable childhood that he deserves. Apart from relatives, Pori invited her colleagues to share the special occasion of her life with everyone. "I want all of my close ones to bless him with their good wishes, so that he grows up with good health and become humane."

On asking if Razz is invited on this celebration, the actor was visibly outraged, and claimed that Razz never cared about his child. He allegedly did not even check on him when Rajya was extremely ill and hospitalised. "I don't want him to be around my son ever."

Recently, the media highlighted that Rajya's name was changed to Poddo, and even Pori's Nana (maternal grandfather) named him Punnyo. "Rajya, Poddo and Punnyo—all of these are his names. I call him Poddo at home, and my close ones know it very well."

Beyond her personal life, audience is eager to know about when she is returning to the screen.

"I am preparing myself to face the camera once again," added the "Swapnojaal" actor. "On September, we have a plan to complete the remaining shooting of the film 'Pritilata'.
