I grew as an artiste because of the films that failed: Pooja Hegde
Versatile Indian actor Pooja Hegde has slowly and steadily made a place for herself in the entertainment industry, through her marvellous performances. In the last couple of years, the actor has been seen donning a variety of roles, working opposite celebrated actors like Chiranjeevi, Prabhas, Thalapathy Vijay, and Allu Arjun, amongst others.
Moreover, Pooja is soon also expected to share the screen with Salman Khan in the upcoming Bollywood film, "Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan", expected to release this coming Eid.
In a recent interview, Pooja Hegde—who made her debut with the Tamil film, "Mugamoodi" in 2012—opened up about her journey as an actor.
The "Beast" star shared, "When my journey started, it was not that I did my first film and it was a hit. (Yet) I got all the best offers after that. I have seen failure at the start of my career. After that, I suddenly saw great success. I also remember the days when I didn't get work. There was a year when I didn't get anything. I am aware of that."
The actor believes that failure and success are part of an actor's journey. She is determined to learn from her mistakes and improve herself.
"I am a working actor. It is always dot, dot, dot, there is no full stop yet. As actors, we should be allowed to fail. That's a very important part of our process. It is all part and parcel of the game. Name me one actor, who hasn't had failure," mentioned Pooja.
The actress continued, "I had six blockbuster films back-to-back. You didn't see me complaining at that time, so how can I complain now? I am counting my blessings. It is all for the good. I grew as an artiste because of the films that failed," she added.
Aside from "Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan", Pooja is also set to appear in Puri Jagannadh's "Jana Gana Mana", which is expected to hit theatres on August 3.
