Swagata has carved her own path in every medium of showbiz. She has been mostly active as an actress. Besides, she is also a singer and anchor.

Recently the artiste has completed the shooting for the film, "Deyaler Desh", directed by Mishuk Moni. "Audience will discover a new Swagata through this film," shares the actress, who is currently shooting for the serial "Bou Shoshurbar" for television.

Acting has always been her passion, while she has been singing since childhood. "I want to focus more on singing this year," she adds.

Recently Swagata announced about her separation. She asserts that she is living a free life. "I am really happy now, as I can live my life in my own terms." She also said that she can now concentrate in her career.

"If there is no comfort in personal space, then one cannot shine in professional life," asserts the actress, whose film "Oshombhob" will hit the theatres soon.

"I will be playing a jatra actress in the film," she said about the government granted project, which recently received clearance from the censor board.

Swagata made her film debut with "Shotru Shotru Khela", opposite Manna. She was also seen in Nurul Alam Atique's "Lal Moroger Jhuti", which was released last year. She also had a guest appearance in the film "Paap Punyo".
