‘Foreigners watch Ananta’s films because of international appeal'
Ananta Jalil's film "Kill Him" was released on Eid day and the actor went to Bashundhara City's Panthapath branch along with its director Mohammed Iqbal to interact with the media and see the audience's reaction on Eid day 2.
Ananta revealed that his film is quite popular among foreigners.
"Whenever we go to the embassy, all of the foreigners tell me that they have watched our movie. And I asked them how you are watching my movie, which is in Bangla language. They told me that they get to understand the film through subtitles. As Iqbal bhai didn't have time to add subtitles to the movie, we will add it on its international release ," said the actor.
There were some foreigners at the press meeting and he addressed them and told them that he is really thankful to them for coming here. Throughout the event, he tried to speak in English most of the time, to reach out to his international fans.
"Mr Iqbal is the director and producer of the film and this is the first time foreigners came to watch his movie. Foreigners watch Ananta Jalil's movies as they know Ananta Jalil makes international quality films," added the actor.
The "Din: The Day" actor also addressed YouTubers who were criticising his film.
"I am really grateful to these YouTubers for deliberately trying to give negative reviews to our film. Lots of love to these people for continuously promoting our film negatively. I don't know why they are doing it but God bless them. I had a wonderful time working with Iqbal bhai and In Sha Allah I will work with other directors in the future as well so that I can properly act in movies," concluded the actor.
