Ferdous reminiscences about 'Hothat Brishti' with Nachiketa
Recently, Ferdous visited the legendary singer Nachiketa Chakraborty at his house, and both of them reminisced about their first work together which was "Hothat Brishti". The film will be completing its 25 years this Eid, and a book will be written on its immense popularity in both Bangladesh and Kolkata.
Ferdous came to Nachiketa's house to take quote from Nachiketa as the author couldn't come personally. Through this film, the noted musician gave us priceless songs including "Ekdin Swapner Din" to "Sonali Prantore".
The actor shared the video with the caption, "My dearest singer Nachiketa, a great musician of our generation. We started our journey together through 'Hothat Brishti.' It's been almost 25 years.. please pray for us and be with 'Hothat Brishti' in this rainy season."
In the interview, Nachiketa said, "This film is really special to me as it was my first time composing music for a film. This was also Ferdous' first film in terms of release. This film lead to the debut of many new faces, including Priyanka and Sreelekha Mitra," said the singer.
"I was really happy that the film became extremely popular in Bangladesh and the songs became massive hits in the country. I remember I used to have small fights with its director Basu da, and I wouldn't receive his calls. He would later come to my house with Illish. I am really happy that we could finally complete this film," added Nachiketa.
Directed by Basu Chatterjee, the film was released in 1998 and it brought immense stardom for Ferdous Ahmed at that time.
