Complain filed against Thalapathy Vijay over music video from ‘Leo’
Indian star Thalapathy Vijay recently encountered legal troubles for his upcoming film "Leo" which is expected to release this October. The film's first title track, "Naa Ready" was released a few days back on the occasion of the star's birthday.
However, now a social activist named RTI Selvam, from JJ Nagar in Chennai, has lodged an online complaint against Thalapathy Vijay for allegedly promoting drug use through the song. According to media reports, Selvam alongside the police commissioner of Chennai are now demanding legal actions against the "Beast" star under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act of India.
The new song "Naa Ready" features scenes where Vijay is smoking and drinking alcohol excessively. Moreover, according to reports, the tracks lyrics also highlights lines that 'glorify smoking and drinking'.
Amidst all this, the first song from "Leo" has already entered the top twenty trending songs on YouTube, creating waves amongst fans.
Thalapathy Vijay is currently busy completing the last lot of shootings for "Leo". Apart from Vijay, the film also features Sanjay Dutt, Trisha Krishnan, Priya Anand, and Arjun Sarja.
