Actor-turned-politician Thalapathy Vijay announced he will contest the 2026 Tamil Nadu assembly elections from Madurai East, seeking to position his party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), as a formidable third front in state politics. The declaration came at a massive rally in Madurai on Thursday, attended by thousands of supporters.
Before the release of “Jawan”, which later earned more than Rs 1100 crore at the box office, there were speculations that Thalapathy Vijay would also be a part of the film but he wasn’t. Atlee has now however confirmed that his upcoming film will be with Shah Rukh Khan and Vijay.
Thalapathy Vijay will be seen pairing up with Trisha Krishnan is “Leo”. Aside from these two, the film features also notable actors including Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Sarja, Madonna Sebastian amongst others.
Amidst all the controversies against it, the first song from “Leo” has already entered the top twenty trending songs on YouTube, creating waves amongst fans.
Thalapathy Vijay is currently busy with the shooting of “Leo”, which is expected to hit theatres this coming October.
