Recently, filmmaker Christopher Nolan praised Taylor Swift's concert film, saying that the studios missed out by not distributing it.

Taylor Swift's film "Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour" was released straight through AMC theaters.

According to Hollywood reporters, Nolan was impressed by Taylor Swift's decision to collaborate with a theater owner rather than a company to distribute the concert film, which is "going to make an enormous amount of money."

"Here's the thing: theatrical exhibition is a format and a way of seeing things and sharing stories or experiences that is extremely valuable. And if they don't want it, someone else will. So that's the truth," Nolan continued.

Nolan was speaking with his wife, Emma Thomas, an Oppenheimer producer. "Anytime a film succeeds that wasn't supposed to succeed, it's a good sign for Hollywood," said the director when asked about Oppenheimer's achievement.

"There's always this tension in Hollywood between the familiar and what is predicted to make money, and that's the meat and potatoes of how the studios stay in business. In Hollywood, that tension, that reality between commerce and art, that formula never changes, because it's just a reality of the industrial process. Movies are very expensive to make," he claimed.

Meanwhile, according to Reuters, Taylor Swift's film grossed over $126 million worldwide last week. The attendance is regarded as a significant step in reviving the theaters that suffered during the Hollywood strike.

"Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour" is predicted to outperform Justin Bieber's 2011 release, "Never Say Never". "This is a phenomenal debut. It was a party in a movie theater," Exhibitor Relations Co senior box office analyst Jeff Bock said of the film.

In November, the concert film will be released in many more countries throughout the world, including South Korea, Brazil, and India.
